Leisure (poem)

The Title of the poem is meaningful as it tells us about the sad face of the modern man’s life. The poet says that we are leading a calculated life in a mechanical way. we have no time to enjoy the beauties and delights of life. Modern man is engrossed in worldly matters all the time, caring very little for innocent joys and pleasure.
The poet puts a question to all of us what is use of this life if we have no time to enjoy the beauties of nature such as sweet rivers, shining streams, hills mountains and tender bird.
