Examination means to test the ability of candidate for a particular faculty. There way are generally employed to judge a candidate capability, written, oral and practical. Our examination system relies heavily on the written method. Through exams we can also judge the method of teaching. A teacher is like a good doctor. He should know the weakness of student and teach them accordingly. Exams provide a great incentive to work. Majority of the student would not work hard without the fear of examination. In this age of competition, it is necessary for any country to be strong and stable. Now the world is divided into parts on the basis of development or progress. There are G-8 group of the most advanced countries that is US, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan. The other countries like China, South Korea, Singapore, Holland, Russia and Switzerland are industrial powers.
The third world countries like Pakistan and India are developing countries.

The Killers

Q: Discuss the elements of horror or suspense in the story.

Hemingway creates a very powerful impact of death, horror and suspense in a very simple. In the story  two men. Al and Max enter in restaurant run by Henry and at once start questioning George and the waiter about the food. The two young man make the staff quite uneasy. Infact they have come here to kill a person,  Anderson just to oblige a friend of them. The way they start eating with their gloves on and the way they talk is sure indication that they have come on an evil mission. This makes others think why they were behaving so strangely. In the meanwhile Max commands Nick to go the order side of the counter with George. All takes Nick and Sam into the kitchen

There is suspense that the armed men may rob money and things and some one may be killed or injured, but ironically nothing happens. Max tells George that they are going to kill Anderson whom they have never met just to oblige their friend.The killers waited for more then an hours but Anderson does not come.

A Poison Tree

The poem is  built up on several contrasts; friend-foe; Love- hate; trust-deceit. poison tree stand for hatred. Hatred is the outcome of a lack of trust. It is true that excuses heard are pardoned and forgiven among friends but it is difficult to suppress the feeling of hatred against one’s enemy. Once never loses a chance of letting down one’s enemy. Deprivation of love and affection give birth to confrontation anger, animosity and destruction in society.

Tolerance

Leisure (poem)

The Title of the poem is meaningful as it tells us about the sad face of the modern man’s life. The poet says that we are leading a calculated life in a mechanical way. we have no time to enjoy the beauties and delights of life. Modern man is engrossed in worldly matters all the time, caring very little for innocent joys and pleasure.
